Day 1: Introduction to EKG Machines 

- Overview of EKG purpose in clinical practice 

- When and why EKGs are performed 

- Parts of the EKG machine 

- Basic safety and infection control measures 

Day 2: Lead Placement Demonstration 

- Review 12-lead EKG anatomy 

- Identify limb leads (RA, LA, RL, LL) 

- Identify precordial leads (V1-V6) 

- Instructor demonstration of correct placement 

Day 3: Student Return Demonstration 

- Students perform full lead placement 

- Instructor feedback and correction 

- Tips for avoiding common errors 

- Troubleshooting poor tracings 

Day 4: Practice EKG on Volunteers 

- Consent process for practice 

- Applying electrodes on peers 

- Recording and printing EKG tracings 

- Identifying and correcting artifacts 

Day 5: Cardiac Rhythms and Vital Norms Quiz 

- Review normal sinus rhythm 

- Identify arrhythmias (AFib, VT, Bradycardia) 

- Interpret P wave, PR interval, QRS complex,- Vital sign ranges for adult, child, infant
