Day 1: Introduction to Infection Control

- Chain of infection & how to break it

- Regulatory standards: CDC, OSHA, and Joint Commission

- Video demonstration: Healthcare-associated infection (HAI) prevention

- Class discussion: Real-world infection control challenges

Day 2: PPE Donning and Doffing

- PPE types: gloves, gowns, masks, respirators, face shields

- Step-by-step demonstration of donning and doffing

- Hands-on practice with PPE

- Common mistakes and how to avoid them

- Homework: Watch assigned PPE training video & complete quiz

Day 3: Hand Hygiene & Sterilization

- WHO's 5 Moments for Hand Hygiene

- Handwashing vs. hand sanitizing techniques

- Sterilization and disinfection methods (autoclave, chemical disinfectants, UV)

- Lab practice: Hand hygiene with Glo Germ or similar simulation

- Homework: Write a short reflection on proper hand hygiene in patient care

Day 4: AHA BLS CPR Training

- CPR basics for adults, children, and infants

- Use of AED in emergencies

- Hands-on CPR practice with manikins

- Choking rescue techniques

- Homework: Review CPR guidelines before skills assessment

Day 5: Emergency Response Scenarios

- Role-playing emergency situations (cardiac arrest, choking, allergic reactions)

- Team-based response drills

- Review of infection control protocols during emergencies

- Written quiz & skills check for PPE, hand hygiene, and CP.
